I live in Manitoba, so I'll just answer this anecdotally. We do have some bear, though not particulalry big or dangerous. They can be dangerous to dogs. We have wolves, fox, raccoon, skunk and marmot. We have a number of beaver, ducks, frogs and quite large geese. We have polar bear in the northern part of the province, and they can be dangerous to people and animals, especially in the spring. We have some fairly big bugs, though not tooo too many big ones. Most noticeable I guess are the big dragonflies, and the massive amount of mosquitos. We have some larger herbivore mammals like moose, deer, and bear, like I said. Fish-wise, we have some big Freshwater Fish like sturgeon, catfish and pickerel. Our staple fish is goldeye. My personal favourite of all of our animals, though, is the Prairie dog. It's basically a mini-groundhog. Very cute, and very busy little guys.
