The question answers itself. It isn't a matter of 'who' was in Jerusalem first, but rather which religion was first.
Any look at the history of Judaism and that of Islam, clearly show that Judaism was around before Islam, in fact Christianity is older than Islam.
Both Jews and Christians were in Jerusalem before Islam ever started.
Yes. In 640 C.E. Caliph Omar conquered Jerusalem and it remained in Muslim hands (at least partially) until 1919 with the one Crusader exception. Muslims also split occupation of the city with Jews from 1948-1967.
However, prior to the surrender of the city to Caliph Omar, Jerusalem had belonged to the Christians, the Pagan Romans, the Jews, the Greeks, and the Canaanites.
Yes. Jerusalem had been inhabited by Canaanites (the Jebusite tribe of Canaanites), and King David conquered it and made it the Israelite capital, some 3000 years ago. It remained the capital of the kings descended from David, until the First Destruction around 2500 years ago. Several decades later, the Jews returned under royal permission from King Cyrus and rebuilt the city as described in the book of Nehemiah. It remained a Jewish city until after the Second Destruction when the Romans destroyed it 1950 years ago. Even then, it was not populated or conquered by Arabs until the 7th century CE.
