Diondra Jordan is a female that in a teenager and is one of the 18 kids that are in the story Bronx Mass. She has been described as being too tall for her age and because of that she gets made fun of alot and that soon becomes her insecurity. She is african american, but yet she does not blend in with her peers, alot of people have been telling her since shes tall she should play Basketball more but many do not know that her interests are painting. She made many poems , and the first one is called "If", there she states that if she could do all these great things will you still make fun of her. That was the message she was trying to pass on. Her father , is a problem. He always wanted a boy, but sadly for him he got a girl, and still he bugs her about not bein able to play basketball. Her mother sorta supports her idea as a painter but her father not so well.
