I've just recently moved back to Washington after spending 2 years in Virginia. In Virginia you only had to show your license to potential employers, police (if they requested it), and anyone representing the governing body that issued security licenses like WSCJT. Citizens could not request to see your license but you were required to keep it on you anytime you were on duty.
