Of course not. You can never make a stereotype as such.
There is, indeed, an Italian mafia. But certainly, not all Italians are involved with it.

The mafia was a secret organization that was originally from southern Italy and eventually moved to America and continued crime there and they are still here today, just not in those cool 1920s clothes
there's been close ties with mafia(especially in italy) and elected officials but NO the mafia is not the government.
Mostly In Sicilly.

They have alot of good Connections and great power in big Citys such as Newyork, Chicago, Las Vegas.. The Italian Mafia arent just in America or Italy.. You get some small groups in Britian and over Europe.
