Say the euro currency is higher than the dollar currency, that means that 1 euro costs more dollars than before. So i.e. you would have to pay 1.50 dollars for 1 euro. Although this isn't quite a positive thing, it doesn't have to be a negative thing either. The products from the US become cheaper to other countries, because you have to pay less dollars to get the same products. This generates extra export which in turn generates extra money for the company selling the product.
