$2.25. The only train that has a fixed price that you may be referring to is the Chicago Transit Authority which operates a rapid transit system, or metro, for the Chicago area. The normal full fare is $2.25 today.
Dublin Bus is the main bus provider in Dublin. Most of their buses travel from or through the city centre. See their website below. In addition a large amount of other bus services go from Dublin to all parts of Ireland. Many are operated by Bus Éireann, whose website is below. There are lots of train stations in Dublin, the two main ones being Connolly and Heuston. Connolly station serves routes along the east coast and to parts of the northwest of Ireland as well as local rail services on the Dublin Area Rapid Transit service, commonly known as the DART. Heuston serves much of the southwest west and midlands of Ireland. It does not have the DART line going through it, but it is served by the Luas, Dublin's light rail system. There is a Luas link between Heuston and Connolly. See the websites below.
Dublin was officially established in 988 AD. On that basis it would be 1024 years old in 2012. In reality Dublin would be much older than that with people have been living in that area for hundreds of years before that.
There are many rail and bus stations in Dublin, so it depends which one you are travelling from. There are other options as the Mater Hospital area is well served by buses.

Air transit is a much faster transportation method than car transit. It will also cost much less if you are using air transit outside of the holiday season.

the buildings in new york are extremely high compared to the ones in dublin, all are under 7 storeys or so by planning laws, so has a much less intimidating skyline. New York is a much bigger area than Dublin and 19 times the population. One similarity is the River Liffey runs through Dublin, whereas the river Hudson runds through new york. There is no real comparison really. (Dublin doesnt have a metro...yet!...its in the pipeline though....

No. Dublin is the largest city in Ireland. Drogheda is only a large town and is much smaller than Dublin.
