It really depends upon the condition. You can get a coin book which will give you a ballpark estimate or go to a coin shop. Or go to online coin buy/sell sites.
If it is a copper-nickel clad circulation strike, it's worth a dollar.
If it has an "S" mintmark and is mint-sealed in mylar with a blue envelope, it is an uncirculated 40% silver coin worth about $6.
If it is a proof coin sealed in a hard plastic case and packaged in a brown box (also with an "S" mintmark) it lists at $6.50. It can range from $6 to $10 in auction, but usually even non-circulated rolls when sold at an auction will bring less than face value after the auctioneer's commission is taken out.
The 1971 Silver dollar is worth about $10 depending on its condition as there was a Uncirculated coin in a Blue envelope and a Proof coin in a Brown box. Both coins contain 40% Silver so as the price of Silver fluctuates so dose the coins value. Unlike a 1971 Clad dollar that was produced for general circulation the Silver dollar was sold by the US Mint to collectors.
That's an Eisenhower dollar, and it's only worth face value. It doesn't contain any silver.
If your 1972 coin is a uncirculated example it may be worth about $5.00 because the 1971 & 1972 issue coins were not included in the Uncirculated Mint sets sold from the Mint in those years but in general none of the Eisenhower dollars regardless of date or mintmark struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.

The 1776-1976 dollar was an Eisenhower dollar and the silver version has a current value from $14 to $325 depending upon the condition of the coin.
The U.S. Mint has never issued a dollar coin with those dates on it.
That's the bicentennial dollar, extremely common, and still worth one dollar.
All circulating 1776-1976 dollar coins are made of copper with a nickel coating, and are still worth one dollar. However, if it's one of the silver versions made for collectors, then it's worth about $7. All silver specimens were minted in San Francisco.
All of the silver dollars minted in 1975 and 1976 carried the date 1776-1976. Therefore, there are no US silver dollars dated 1975.
Its worth 1 dollar in the stores, but as of April 21, 2010 the melt value of the coin is approximately $5.72
Unless it's a special 40% silver collectors coin with an "S"mintmark, the answer is none.
Please be more specific. The only US dollar coins dual dated are the Bicentennial Eisenhower dollars 1776-1976. None are 1876-1976.
