I believe it was the first half of March 1969.
May 3 & 4, 1970 there were one mortar attack and 3 rocket attacks. The VC were pissed off because we had just invaded Cambodia and most of the helicopters and fighter jets flew out of Bien Hoa
The Eagle was the rocket ship that went to space with Neil Armstrong (second man on the moon), Buzz Aldrin(first man on the moon) and Michael Collins on it. It was used for the mission called "Apollo 11". The Eagle has the actual eagle on the rocket ship. It went into space on July 16th, 1969 and landed on the moon on July 20th, 1969. The rest, you may search on Wikipedia. Apollo 11
See response above. Additional infor: Evans was a very big base; as was Camp Eagle located in the same AO. Any mortar/rocket attacks at those places with those weapons during those time frames would have been extremely minor in nature. Small firebases (aka LZ's) such as English, Oasis, Apache, Rifle, Vandergrift, Camp Carol, Mary Ann, Ripcord, A4, C2, Blackhawk, Action, Schueller, etc. etc. etc. THOSE are the ones that would've suffered, if hit. Some of THOSE firebases were tiny...a one hundred yard football field...although not necessarily shaped like a football field.
The Bold Eagle - 1969 was released on: USA: May 1969
Not mentioning any specific Firebases, Main Base Camps, or Outposts, the answer would be, during that time frame in South Vietnam; some place, at some point, was being mortared or rocketed, or experiencing a sapper attack (commandos thru the barbed wire).
Armstrong did not use a rocket. He was the first human to walk on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The spacecraft that Armstrong travelled in was the Apollo Lunar Module called "Eagle." The Lunar Module was carried by the Saturn V rocket to reach the Moon.
The rocket that landed on the moon in 1969 was the Apollo 11 mission, carried by the Saturn V rocket.
During the Vietnam War, several American soldiers were killed at Camp Evans in 1969 as a result of enemy attacks and combat operations. The specific names and details of these casualties would be part of military records and historical documentation related to that time and place.

Rocket Robin Hood ended in 1969.
