If you are referring to British ethnicity, it is believed that there are about 54 to 55 million in the UK. With the British diaspora resulting from the process of colonization / Empire, there are many descendants of the British world.

Around 6-7 million Australians in the Census reported some British ancestry, and 6.5 million Canadians, 40 million Americans and 10 million more in other parts of the world (especially in other former colonies).

Nevertheless, many people tend to ignore their British and identify simply by their nationality (such as Canadian, Australian or American) or, if you have two or more ancestries (British and others) may be identified by non-British origin.

It is believed by some demographic, that about 13 million Australians, 14 million Canadians and more than 70 million Americans have ancestors from the UK.

In the UK there are around 54 million descendants of British ethnicity. In the United States, about 34 million people reported some British ancestry, with 10 million in Canada, 10 million in Australia and another 10 million in territories that were under the dominion of the British Empire (South Africa, India, Hong Hong, among others) totaling 118 million people.

However, many citizens of Anglo-Saxon countries tend to ignore their British descent and identify simply by their nationality (American, Canadian or Australian, for example), or by some foreign nationality other than British. Some of the most optimistic estimates indicate 70 million Americans (23% of the population), 15 million Canadians (48% of the population) and 14 million Australians (70%) with ancestors from the UK.
