The mountain ranges in Greece would create vallies where citys were built. Because the mountains were very hard to travel over they isolated the city to develope individully from the other citys making them city-states.
The ancient Greeks lived in Greece. The normal house was a courtyard with rooms around it. Most Greeks lived near the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and in southern Europe. Some citys they lived in are Athens, Sparta, and Crete. They inspired many cultures from their beliefs.
The main cities in Greece are Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, and Larissa. Athens is the capital and largest city in Greece, known for its historical significance and cultural heritage. Thessaloniki is the second-largest city and an important cultural and economic hub in northern Greece.
