∙ 12y agoThe population of the guianas differs from other countries in Latin America because after the abolition of slavery thousands of East Indians, portuguese, Javanese and Chinese immigrants were brought to these countries to work in the sugar and coffee plantations, thus, the population is much more mixed than, say, Argentina or Peru.
The Guianas were originally five countries. But ended up by being three. The three Guyanas were different because they each spoke a different language to the rest of South America. British Guiana (English) Dutch Guiana (Dutch) and French Guiana (French).
How are the Guianas different from the rest of the region
Venezuela and Colombia are larger countries with more diverse geographical features and natural resources compared to the smaller Guianas. The Guianas consist of Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana which have a smaller population and economy than Venezuela and Colombia. Venezuela and Colombia have experienced political instability and economic challenges in recent years, while the Guianas have had more political stability.
The patterns of migration in the Guianas typically involve movement within the region as well as migration from the Caribbean, particularly from neighboring countries such as Suriname, Guyana, and French Guiana. There is also a historical trend of migration to the Guianas from South Asia, particularly from countries like India, to work in industries such as agriculture and mining. Additionally, there is a significant diaspora population in countries like the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands.
The three countries are: Guyana (ex British Guiana) Suriname ( Ex Dutch Guiana) and French Guiana (not independent).
Anacondas are found in the Amazon, the tropical rain forests of South America, in Brazil and the Guianas.
wet climate Guianas(rainforest) & the other people got high mountains
it is diffent because about 1/3 of the population lives in goergetown. (the capital) the population is diverse. half of the people are descended from people who migrated to Guyana fom India
Improve Suriname, Venezuela, and Guyana
In the Guianas, the patterns of migration reflect historical ties to Europe (especially the Netherlands, France, and the UK), as well as movement within the Caribbean region. Recent migration trends also show an increase in labor migration from neighboring countries in South America, such as Brazil and Venezuela.
