∙ 11y agoThe Prevailing Westerlies bring a warming effect in the cool countries and as they blow over North Atlantic Drift, they carry moisture and bring precipitation in all those countries which lie on its way into the continent of Europe.

∙ 12y agoIt creates much warmer weather for Europe. Areas of the same latitude of Europe are anywhere from 10-30 degrees F colder.
The prevailing westerlies pick up warmth from the North Atlantic Drift and carry it over Europe. The East is most affected because prevailing westerlies blow from the west to the east. ... Explain which part of Europe is most affected.

The North Atlantic Drift, a current of warm water from the tropics, flows near Europe's west coast. The prevailing westerlies pick up warmth from this current and carry it over Europe. They also carry moisture, giving the region adequate rainfall.
The factors that affect the climate of Southern Europe include proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, mountain ranges that can block or channel weather patterns, latitude, and prevailing wind patterns. The Mediterranean climate in Southern Europe is characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
western parts of continents, like the western coasts of North America and Europe. These winds are responsible for the moisture brought in from the ocean, which leads to precipitation in the form of rain and snow. The westerlies are a crucial component of the Earth's atmospheric circulation system.
The Gulf Stream, with its northern extension of the North Atlantic Drift, brings warm weather to Western Europe. Because of this, Western Europe can be up to some 15˚F warmer than areas of the same latitude.
the effect is felt to a greater extent because of the shifting of the pressure belts due to the coriolis effect ( shifting of the pressure belts because revolution of the earth around the sun ). hope that helps
The European climate is generally diverse, varying from Mediterranean in the south to subarctic in the north. It is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in mild temperatures in Western Europe. The continent experiences four distinct seasons with cold winters and warm summers.
The westerlies.
Europe has a mild climate due to the presence of the Gulf Stream, which brings warm water from the Gulf of Mexico to western Europe. This results in warmer temperatures compared to regions at similar latitudes. Additionally, Europe's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean helps regulate its climate, providing moderate temperatures and relatively stable weather patterns.
