No, kids have the option as to weather or not they would like to go to school. Often parents decide. Some children decide to go to school because unlike in other countries, the modern greek schools teach fun things such as javelin throwing, Chariot Racing, and the proper way to confuse a lion while in the Gladiator fights. In "art" they make their own armor and swords. At age 13 boys are drafted so they do not go to school for very long anyways
