Only the northern half of Mexico, California and Texas included, became part of the USA. It happened as a result of the Mexican-American war (1830s)which was begun just for that purpose, the purpose of stealing that big part of Mexico. If you are young, you will live to see the day when Mexico takes it all back. Maybe even if you're old. When the big bombs drop, the Mexicans might reclaim it in all the dust and confusion. That might happen sooner than later. Stranger Things have happened.
