Russia is the largest country in the world, and it's connected to both Europe and Asia. Russia is a transcontinental country because it has a European territory and Asian territory. Mainly, there is a mountain range in Russia called the Ural Mountains. The Ural Mountains are a natural boundary which divides Asia from Europe, therefore Siberia naturally becomes the Asian territory which is also Northern Asia, consisting the remaindor of Russia between the Ural Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Also Bordered by other Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and even Japan.
Generally, Asian part of Russia is considered all territory from Ural Mountains to the Far East (Sea of Okhotsk)
Siberia is located in the northern part of Asia. Over half of Russia is considered Siberian territory. It is the coldest part of Russia.
In Russia, there's a mountain range which stretches north-south called the Ural Mountains. The Urals are a natural boundary that is a border between Europe and Asia. So naturally Siberia is the Asian portion of Russia because it's between the Urals and the Pacific Ocean.
Siberia (part of Russia)
The territory behind the Ural Mountains is called Siberia. It is a vast region in Russia known for its harsh winters, diverse landscapes, and abundant natural resources.
First of all, it should be noted that Siberia is not a country at all. It is the regional designation of the Asian portion of the Russian Federation (Russia). Russia is a country, though. Russia used to be the center of the Soviet Union, which was a communist country. Today, though, Russia is an illiberal democracy, leaning closer and closer to autocracy.
If you are already in Russia, Europe or many of the Asian countries, you can get to Siberia by train or plane. Otherwise, you would need to travel to a city with an International Airport or Port and then a train or internal flight. Siberia is a big place.
It allows people to travel into the Asian part of Russia.

It comes from the old Turkic language and means "sleeping land". Siberia was the ancient homeland of Turks. Even today, Turkic language is one of the official languages in the region due to thousands of Turkic people residing there.Siberia is a large geographic region in the Asian part of Russia of about 13,490,000 sq km. It is situated between the Ural Mountains in the west and the rivers which flow into the Pacific Ocean in the east, and between the Arctic Ocean in the north and the southern borders of Russia. The word Siberia comes from the Tartar word "Sibir" meaning "Sleeping Land". Siberia covers a large number of Russian administrative districts (Oblasts, Okrugs, Krays and Autonomous Republics) like states, counties, municipalities and ethnic homelands and does not have a capital, although Irkutsk, the pearl of Siberia, is often referred to as the capital of Siberia possibly due to its relatively central location.
The four regions of the Russian realm are Northwestern Russia, Central Russia, Siberia, and the Russian Far East. These regions cover the vast expanse of the country, from the European part to the Asian territories in the east. Each region has its own distinct characteristics, climates, and cultures.
