∙ 12y agoIf we define a day as 24 hours, the minute hand moves around the clock face once an hour. 24 times.
The minute hand revolves around the clock face ONCE every hour. Therefore the hand would revolve around the clock 24 time in one day.
Once per hour.
Once
The minute hand on a clock goes round 24 times in a day (once for each hour)
Once
The minute hand will cross over the hour hand once every hour. So in 12 hours, the answer is 12 times.
see you in an hour. Of course it takes more than an hour for the hour hand (the "BIG" hand) and the minute hand (the "LITTLE" hand) to line up but it does happen once each hour. Keep in mind, the hour hand is known as the BIG hand because an hour is bigger than a minute, which is indicated by the LITTLE hand.
The second hand goes around once.
eleven times If you start at 12:05, the minute hand passes the hour hand once between 1:00 and 2:00, once between 2:00 and 3:00, and so on through the 10:00 hour. After 10:54, the next time the minute hand passes the hour hand is 12:00.
Say you start at 12 o'clock. If the minute hand goes around the clock once in a complete circle, it turns to 1 o'clock. thus, the hour hand makes it a 30 degree angle.
The minute hand is the radius of the circle. Once you know the radius, you can calculate the area (pi r squared). 35 minutes is 7/12 of the area.
