Snowdon is quite a large area and yes people live within the surrounding areas.
Does anyone live on the top of Snowdon, then no.
People do run a cafe on the top, but they do not live there. Neither do the multitudes who sleep over to see the dawn break.

Plants found on Mount Snowdon in Wales include heather, bilberry, and various grasses, mosses, and lichens due to the harsh mountain environment. Some rare alpine plants such as purple saxifrage and mountain avens can also be found at higher altitudes on the mountain.

There are only three native British species of snakes and of these only two are likely to be found on Mount Snowdon, as the Smooth Snake is mainly confined to the southern counties of England and south Wales. The two which might be found on Mount Snowdon are the Grass Snake and the Adder (also called the Viper).
