Maximum stay is 3 months for touristic / business / company training purposes. Your national passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond the planned stay in Switzerland.
Any Malaysian passport holder wanting to stay longer than three (3) months is required to apply for an authorisation from the competent cantonal authorities (Foreign police, Office for Migration). The application for this authorisation can be submitted directly to the cantonal authorities through the employer or the school in Switzerland. Once the authorisation is approved the applicant can enter Switzerland. After arrival she/he has to contact the Foreign Police or the Office for Migration in between 7 days for registering and to receive a valid permit (B-Permit, L-Permit).
