The closest fishing lodges are a few hours drive from Anchorage, or an 80 mile flight by sea plane. There is great fishing in the Anchorage area but no fishing lodges close by.

What is the most inportant city in Alaska?

Well, I suppose ansers could vary on that, but Anchorage seems the most likely. It is the center of commerce and the biggest health care facilities are there. When the people of Alaska fly somewhere, it is almost always to Anchorage. Fairbanks is another important place as well, as it is near the end of the Alaska highway and the Dalton begins there. Goods needed for the Prudhoe Bay oil production area are sent by the Dalton to that area.
