There are two railroad bridges and two road bridges across the Mississippi in Memphis.

The northernmost road bridge carries Interstate 40. There is no legal pedestrian access to it and there is no space allowed for pedestrians on the bridge.

The southernmost bridge carries Interstate 55 and there is space for pedestrians on the east and west bound sides of the bridge, although it is very tight in places especially on the eastbound Arkansas side. This is for getting on the bridge on the Memphis side of the river and the route starts in Delaware St.
