You can't get a permit for them, like you can for a handgun, but then again, you are allowed to carry weapons open or concealed as long as you have no intent to harm. Same with a knife, although certain municipalities have restrictions... such as no knife above 4" or 3" even for some places like parks and they might be outright banned in places like school property.
