There are different types of lodging including hotel and motels. A hotel is typically a large building with several floors. A motel is usually one or two floors. The prices usually are different between the two. Hotels are often more expensive than a motel. Hotels often have more amenities than motels. Motels are often used for longer staying guests.
A hotel has rooms that are in the interior of the building and with lots of floors. A motel has rooms that open to the outside of the building and is usually three stories tall.
I've seen dungeons with only 1 floor and I've seen dungeons with 100 floors. Most dungeons I have encountered usually ran around 3-7 floors, but as long as each new floor is fun and interesting, there truly is no limit.
