Why isn't your homemade ouija board working?

For the most part, they work better than store-bought boards. This can be changed based on the materials you use. Cardboard is not your best choice, and neither is using a sharpie.

Please be careful using one though. There are lots of stories of people getting in way over their heads. Make a circle of salt around yourself before using the board, as that is supposed to create a protective circle.

The best types of Ouija boards are in fact the homemade ones.
they are most powerful when the medium is made from natural Materials, and the numbers letters and words are burned in to the medium.

If I were to make one, I would construct it on or near the time of the thinning of the vale.
also I would certainly see to it that the medium were constructed from a slab of oak cut with an iron saw blade.

also sandblasted and treated with Kosher Sea Salt.
after the characters are burned in, it should then be sealed with the salt on the face of the board, to dramatically lessen the power of the entity being called forth.

Also, and this couldn't be more important.
If you are planning to follow these directions I strongly suggest that you familiarize yourself with The Seals of Solomon, Namely the 5th Pentacle of Mars.

I would also burn the likeness of the 5th pentacle into the reverse side of the Ouija

Ouija boards are not infallible, they are merely a tool to divine answers to questions in a direct way. If a ouija board isn't working in the way you desire it to, there can be several reasons for this, and some of them are as follows, but should not be limited to:

A Spirit does not wish to communicate

A Spirit is not strong enough to influence the movement

There are no spirits present

You are trying to hard

You do not believe or accept that spirits may exist

These issues can influence and keep a ouija board from working in the manner in which you are seeking it to work.
