∙ 16y agoI heard it can cause a "dry socket" and a pal of mine was advised not to smoke until his gums healed. It makes since if you want to keep bacteria from the smoke infecting your mouth/gums. Better to be safe than sorry. You shouldn't need to smoke if they give you decent enough pain killers anyway. Those will knock you out and you won't even remember to smoke.

For me, they put my braces on, not putting brackets on the ones being pulled, they few months later they pulled out the 4 wisdom teeth.
i don't know i am not a doctor. No, wait a few days. Alcohol slows the wound healing.
sucking the cigarette (like a straw) is what causes the dry socket. just like a straw can cause dry socket, cigarettes basically do the same thing. it is recommended to wait 3-5 days to smoke a cigarette after getting your wisdom teeth pulled.
yes it is normal, a mild rinsing after you eat will help speed up the healing.
yes it is ok to have popcorn after you get a wisdom tooth pulled out
Never QUIT SMOKING!
Jana and Jill had their wisdom teeth removed.
They give you silly gas or knock out gas and then they pull it
you probly can but for me personally i wouldnt could there could be a inncedient
Yes you can, you only might get an infection. It might hurt but shiv happens, i have done it and it didn't do any thing to me. The reason why you are not supposed to smoke anything after getting a wisdom tooth pulled is because smoking dries out the newly exposed gum area, which is not good for its healing. So it probably is the same for a regular tooth; just wait a few days to a week.
I find the fastest way is just to sleep it off.
