pour water into it until full, then pour that water into a measuring cup.
observation
After you pour all solids and liquids out of a cup, it will still be full, full of gas, that is. If you empty a cup in space, it may still be considered full, as in full of space or vacuum. Otherwise, a cup is empty as soon as you pour out all the solids and liquids.
Water will fill ask the empty spaces when you pour it into a jar full of marbles.
take half of the full barels and put them in the empty ones. then each son will get 7 barrels half full of wine. Improvement from someone's answer above, this answer also meets the additional condition (if required) that "the wine and barrels must be split so that each son has the same # of full barrels, same # of half-full barrels and same # of empty barrels." Give each son 2 each, so there are 1 full, 1 half-full and 1 empty left. Take the full one, pour half into the empty one, finally, there will be 3 half-full barels, give 1 to each son. voila! In the requirement, it's also mentioned that "there are no measuring devices handy". So my method above assumes that we can pour the full barrel into the empty one and make the 2 even using our eyes for adjustment.
If the problem is to change 6 cups in a row of 3 full cups followed by 3 empty cups into alternately full and empty cups by moving only one cup: Pick up the middle full cup, pour its contents into the middle empty cup and put it back where it was.

Well the worst thing you can do is pour it down the kitchen drain.I have found that if you let it cool, but not until it sets, since you wont be able to pour it, take an empty can such as an empty coffe can and pour it in that and store in your refrigerater with the lid on,until can gets full of scrap grease, then you can use it to burn any cardboard trash you may have if you have a burn pit,or you can even make soap out of it.
