At the moment on psp I've just completed the chamber of secrets and so far you've had to push pull or get past things to open locks!

I use the Xbox 360, and for that you have to use certain spells to destory the locks.
it all depends on what you want to unlock it is mainly by things you do in game like the hidden items that don't necessarily need to be done like i said its all a case on what you do i have just got the game for my cousin and have played it a bit myself and havent unlocked much as yet so i hope my brief ideas help
