Mattel, Inc., makes Barbie dolls. Mattel, Inc., of Segundo, California The toy company that makes barbie dolls is mattel inc Mattel. Barbie has always been a registered trademark of Mattel. Mattel was originally known as Matson and Elliott, of which it is a sort of contraction. Under the Matson and Elliott label they made the Linoprinter, a combination typesetting machine and printing press, which sadly did poorly in the market place. It was not known whether to market it as a toy or a business machine. Mattel, Inc. The designers for Mattel are based in Los Angeles at the company's headquarters. If it was made by Mattel and has the Mattel logo it would be either Barbie or one of her friends. The dolls have been manufactured in Indonesia in the past few years. If a fashion doll was made by another company, it would have that company's name/logo on it and it is NOT a Barbie doll.
As a long-time adult collector, I can tell you what I have learned: 1. History of fashion for the past 50 years. Not just clothing, but hairstyles and even furniture. 2. Learning about other cultures and other countries, both through the dolls themselves and through other collectors outside the United States. 3. The process of making dolls, not just Mattel's Barbies, but other types as well. 4. The monetary value of certain Barbie and family dolls. NO, NOT ALL BARBIE DOLLS ARE WORTH MONEY!
There are two answers to your question. There have been Barbie dolls called "Barbie as Rapunzel" but there is also a Mattel Rapunzel doll, who would be considered a Barbie. You CAN get barbie rapunzel dolls as i used to have one 7 years ago when i was five. If you need anymore answers tweet me on @LuvShawtyBiebz
I'm a little confused by your question. Only Mattel has the rights to make the Barbie doll, at least here in the United States. There have been doll manufacturers in other countries that have purchased the rights to make and sell Barbie dolls in their own countries, such as Rosebud in England, Estrela in Brazil and Takara in Japan, but I don't think that is what you are asking. Other companies in the United States make fashion dolls the same size as Barbie, or make clothes to fit 11 1/2 inch dolls. Some examples of competitors over the years have been Ideal, Hasbro and Kenner. It's possible that you have clothing made by one of the competitors.
You first have to know how old they are... but, if they are over 10 years old...... they should be worth $100.00 or more.
Not in a couple of years.Maybe in 2 decades or so.
The experts can speculate, but nobody can tell how much anything will actually be worth in 10 years.
Bratz girls will be worth money in 10-20 years.
No, I think it was because of the design of the Bratz. They apparently they copied the design of something else - it might of been Moxie Girls as they have HUGE similarities of each doll. But the company sued them, made them bankrupted and were forced not to sell any more. Although the Bratz dolls are still selling in small portions and only the basic dolls such as Bratz 'Kids', Bratz 'Sportz' and Bratz 'Babies' it is slowly going and soon be gone as Barbie, Moxie Girls and Liv Doll are taking over. But if you do still have Bratz dolls, don't throw them away - I predict that in about 5 - 10 years to become more and more wanted and you would get a lot of money out them! Hope this helped, Helen2888 THAT ANSWER IS INCORRECT Bratz MGA were sued by Mattel because the owner which came up with the idea of Bratz was working for Mattel when he left to pursue Bratz. Since in 2008 MGA was sued by Mattel and had to discontinue making the dolls. Once the line was discontinued, MGA made another line of dolls called MOXI GIRLZ, hence why they look similar. Though Bratz are going to be recontinued this year in August (apparently) -Truthfulnom :) yes bratz will be back in october 10/10/10 10 new bratz dolls
If it is in good shape it is worth money to a collector.
He has been dead for several years, so he isn't worth anything. He is worm food.
