so we have oxygen
It not a must so I don't think that it should be replanted. However it is in our best interest that for each tree cut down one or more should be planted. Trees acts as nature's respiratory system, earth carbon sink or storage system, Through their roots tree bind earth and soil therefore stopping or at least controlling soil erosion. Trees also control water flow both as run off and help during respiration to get moisture back into the atmosphere and of course they also provide the cooling shade we so love here in the tropics. Don't forget trees provides food for our consumption plus food also for insects, and other animals. Sure tree are not the only plants that provide some or all of these benefit but with out tree we would have little much else. I almost forgot trees provides fuel whether for heating or lighting or both.
If all we did was to consume and not replace or manage our sustainable resources such as trees then we would be left with nothing to consume except maybe rocks, barren earth and a dwindling breathable atmosphere. How long could we survive like that?

There is about 4.5 billion trees cut down each year and for every 28 trees cut down only 1 tree is planted.

its when forests and habitats are cut down
To cut down all the trees and in their place two or three types of trees are planted e.g sal and deodar
Planting new trees after cutting down old ones helps to replenish the resources lost during logging. It ensures the continuity of the ecosystem, maintains biodiversity, and helps mitigate the impact of deforestation on the environment. Replanting trees also helps to sequester carbon dioxide, which is important for combating climate change.
Trees should not be cut down because we lose fresh air.

Some trees, not all should be cut down to make things like paper and furniture. A lot of trees should not be cut down to help have clean air, shade, and homes for animals.
It would be better for them to keep the trees but if the trees are going to affect pipes and etc., then the trees should be cut down
no never continue to cut trees... i mean trees give us air
