My off-hand guess would be that they are getting less salty on average as fresh melt-water from Greenland and the polar caps enters the oceans.

It think that salt stays in the water because it gets frozen.
When sea water evaporates the salt is left behind you might think this would make the remaining water Saltier but in fact overall the ocean is not getting Saltier why do you think that is?

It turns out that the data indicate it would take, at the very most, sixty-two million years to turn from freshwater oceans to salt water oceans with the salinity we see today. This makes it hard to believe the earth is billions of years old, after all, if it were billions of years old, why aren't the oceans a lotsaltier? No one has a convincing answer to that question. Why is polar water saltier than other ocean water?
