there are alot of mountain ranges in the u.s but 3 major ones are the rocky mountains, the Appalachian mountains, and the cascades .. some like to group the cascades and the sierra mountains together to make up one large mountain range.
The Appalachian Mountains are easy to get to. They are so beautiful. The Appalachian mountains are good for hiking. Also during hunting season its a great place to hunt. Lastly, if you ever get stranded out in the Appalachian Mountains there's plenty of natural resources to make shelter.
