It's located in a small recess left of the steering colomn on the lower side of the dash.
I believe that the computer data port or known as the ALDL is located behind the ashtray on a 82 Corvette.
It should be under the steering wheel on the right side. toward the stereo. you should have to take the cover panel off.
On drivers side below the dash panel. Black connector and it is called the ALDL or DLC. Butch Billings, MT 59105
Hello, Jamison here, I can't recall, But if you are using A scanning tool like a M2500 and it sounds like you are, It will tell you where it is,,,,,,,,, Hope I did'nt mess you up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jamison.
it is ALDL, or some call it OBD1. It is easier to pull trouble codes off of using a paper clip rather than using a scanner. There is alot of info on the web if you google ALDL
reset switch? None that I am aware of. There is a fuel pump relay mounted on your firewall on the drivers side. To test if the fuel pump is bad or the relay. Take a 12 volt source to the "G" terminal on your aldl port located under the steering column. If the pump kicks on your relay is shot. If the pump does not kick on the pump itself is dead. For a picture of the ALDL terminals reference this image: http://robertpowersmotorsports.freeservers.com/images/ALDL_plug.jpg
socket mounted on the bottom of the dash, right above the driver's right knee.
It is available at the ALDL connector, terminal 'B', located under the instrument panel, just right of centre. Terminal 'A' is ground, so it is possible to use a short jumper to ground this terminal.
Get a obd2 scanner code reader, plug it into the ALDL connector under the dash and navigate through until you find what you need.
in the fuse box panel under the dash on the right hand side near aldl link
Here are the instructions straight from G.M. 1. Turn ignition off 2. Ground ALDL Terminal K (this is the lower row, 3rd from the right). 3. Turn ignition on (don't start engine) 4. Wait for fault codes to begin flashing (approx 5 seconds). When the codes begin flashing, unground ALDL terminal K for 3 seconds + or - 1/2 second. 5. After ungrounding ALDL K as described in step 3 above, ground it again for 3 seconds + or - 1/2 second. 6. Unground ALDL K and wait 10 seconds. Before turning the ignition OFF, verify that code 12 is the only code being flased (this is the seatbelt/air bag light flashing). If not, codes have not been properly cleared. Repeat from step one if codes not cleared until the codes clear.
