I believe that Disneyland started using them when they opened in 1955, and Walt Disney World adopted it in 1971. However, by 1982 the E-Ticket system was completely faded out for both locations with our current general admission system (where you pay for your admission ticket, and you could ride all the rides as many times as you want).
This is a difficult question to answer. A stop sign ticket that is a year old should show up. It may be that it is an honest error on their part.
