River water DOES flow into the ocean. Although some rivers flow into lakes, all those lakes have rivers flowing out of them that eventually end up in the ocean (except for a few inland bodies of salt water such as the Dead Sea and the Great Salt Lake).

∙ 10y agoWell, this is what happens with most rivers. The runoff ends up in the ocean, carrying whatever material is deposited (rubbish, pesticide residues, fertiliser residue, sewerage etc.) into it, or whatever materials are eroded by it (rocks, sand, silt).
Only a few rivers do not terminate in the ocean, in these instances they normally form shallow lakes or seas.

There would be no water on earth
Venus would float on the water
The ocean would probably overflow and cause a flood to occur.
The water would freeze, ice would SINK to the bottom. More water would freeze and ice would sink to the bottom again. Eventually the entire lake, river, stream, sea and ocean would be solid ice. All (or virtually all) life would cease in the waters.
That would be a current, such as a river or ocean current.
They were commissioned by Thomas Jefferson to look for a water route to the pacific ocean, they were following the river hoping that it would lead out into the Pacific ocean.
Because ocean water has a higher salt content that your cells (hypertonic), they would shrivel slightly.
it can be pollution
You would have to cross the Pacific Ocean from California to Japan.
The strength of the hurricane would decrease, as hurricanes get their energy from warm ocean water.
There are many more bodies of water in the world than one would probably imagine. Ten major bodies of water include the Atlantic Ocean, the Baltic Sea, the Nile River, the Arctic Ocean, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Amazon River, the Congo River, the Pacific Ocean, and the Adriatic Sea.
It would probably fill up with water, and then you'd have a water balloon.
