Most rivers east of the Rocky Mountains drain into the Mississippi River drainage system and then into the Gulf of Mexico through New Orleans, Louisiana. Some drain directly into the Gulf (the Trinity River in Texas being one) and others drain directly into the Atlantic ocean.

According to the "Alabama Maps" website (refer to the link, below), the major Alabama rivers which enter the Gulf of Mexico are the Mobile, Tensaw, and Perdido.
Most rivers in Louisiana flow into the Gulf of Mexico. They drain into the Mississippi River, which then flows into the Gulf, carrying sediment and nutrients from the land into the coastal waters.

Major rivers in Florida include St. Johns, Suwannee, and St. Mary's rivers. The state is also surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side.
No "bodies of water" except the rivers Tigris and Euphrates empty into the Persian Gulf.
