Bir-Hakeim is nearest, but the walk from there to the tower - half a mile or so - is rather boring. École Militaire gives you a walk the length of the Champ de Mars, with the tower in view all the time. The best, however, is Trocadéro - easier to get to than the other two, and you come out behind the Palais de Chailoot, from which you get the best view of all, and from there to the tower is all downhill, through the park with the famous fountains and across the Pont d'Iéna.
