SeaWorld has cared for Tilikum for a great deal of his life. He is an integral part of the SeaWorld Orlando pod, and he is regularly used for preformances. Tilikum also is willing to breed, which is important for research into killer whale reproduction.
Tilikum was the whale who killed the trainer. He has killed three people. Two trainers and a homeless man. Tilikum started performing on March 30th, 2010 after his third death.
Dawn Brancheau died from being drowned/suffering from injuries on February 24, 2010 in SeaWorld, Florida from the 12,300 pound killer-whale Tilikum.
Tilikum goes by Tilly.
is tilikum still alive
Tilikum is about 30 years of age. He is the largest orca in captivity.
No :)
aN orca whale killed its trainer because it was angry for the horrible treatment it was getting, small tank, loud croud! killer whales see every thing biggger thn them so Tilikum<the whale> thought Dawn B.<the trainer> was a giant
It was not a man but a woman that was killed by Tilikum. her name was Dawn Brancheau this was tilikum latest Victim. From my understanding the orca had another death that was accredited to him I think this was a man but I don't know his name. I'm not sure but I think this death happen back in the nineties
