Light white robes of easily porous material (such as muslin), in order for the skin to "breathe" underneath, and generally white or light-colored, in order to reflect the sun's heat. Head coverings protect from sunburn, as well.

In this country's southwest, lightweight, light colored shirts and pants are best, along with a straw hat (and sunscreen!).
They wear white cloths to be protected by sunshine and they would be wearing full

cloths.

People in the Sonoran Desert wear much the same clothing as people elsewhere. There is no particular uniform or mode of dress in the Sonoran Desert.
