The Tower of London was built after The Battle of Hastings in 1066. It was started by William the Conqueror in 1078 and was completed by King Edward I in 1285 after a lot of rebuilding and repairing.
Building started in 1087 and has been ongoing since then.

The outer curtain wall was completed by Edward I in 1275-1285. Some parts are, however, much more recent.
