The Labrador Sea is closer to the Atlantic Ocean compared to the Beaufort Sea. It is bordered by Greenland to the east and Newfoundland and Labrador to the southwest, making it more connected to the Atlantic Ocean.

Sailing some of them in a storm will have anyone understand why they are more like seas than lakes.
