Yes, the so-called "HOLY'" Ganges is very dirty because all of the drainage and sewage of all of the cities through which this river passes, goes into this river. People wash their clothes in this and even dead bodies are just floated in this river, which later rot and give off a foul smell.
The government has wasted millions of rupees to clean it, but no cleaning will help unless the above is stopped.
