I would advise against it:
- You add waste to the water which could cause people and animals to become sick
- If the river is part of your area's drinking water, you could end up drinking your own urine eventually
- If you live in South America, you could be attacked by a Candiru fish which will swim up your urethra and get stuck (look it up)
