I'll explain why, it is not known to many but during the construction of the ESB there was a great deal of short cuts taken whcih in turn has left the building in a particully vunerable state. it was origonally intended that they would close it down and recommision it when this information first came to hand but an executive decision was made that it was more financially benifical for it to be laft as it was. note that the executive board never meet on days of extreme weather or earthquake warnings

Yes, the word "building" in "Empire State Building" is capitalized when referring to the specific structure in New York City.
The Empire State Building is pretty tall, man, so obviously to build one taller would take longer than the Empire State Building took.

The Empire State building has 37 million cubic feet of volume which equates to 276,779,220.76 gallons of water.
No, the tallest would be the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, standing at 828 meters tall. The Empire State building stands at 443 meters tall.
When the Empire State building was originally built, it was expected that there would be zeppelin traffic, and a mast would be useful to allow a zeppelin to anchor itself to the Empire State Building. As it turned out, zeppelins were a very transitory technology, soon replaced by airplanes, so the mast got very little use.
