According to the missionsanjose.org site, the adobe church was dedicated in 1809 and destroyed by an earthquake in 1868. From 1982-1985 it was reconstructed to look like the original.
The mission was founded in 1797, but there is no record (that I can see) of whether the church dedicated in 1809 was there at the founding, or when exactly construction began.

The Ysleta Mission in Texas is the oldest mission and parish in the state, established in 1682. It is also the only mission in Texas originally built by Tigua Indians. The mission has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times throughout its history, with the current building dating back to the late 1800s.
