Probubly because they are scared. so they take big stomping steps. And some people are so scared they fall and cause pressure on it.

Pennsylvania has a wonderful place called bush kill falls. its a big water fall. there is also trails you can go on to see the water fall and you can climb up to the top. Few people know about "The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania", in eastern PA.
no it isn't you are protected by railings and do places that are more risky you can't go there. also people that work there show you where not to go.
