To reach the summit of Mount Everest can take anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks. You have to allow time for your body to acclimatize to the high altitude, then you must wait for the right weather window to allow you to climb to the summit and back safely.

It can take anything up to about 30 days to reach the summit from Base Camp. You climb to different camps, sleep there and then come back down before going up to the next camp. You repeat this to acclimatize.

To get to Mount Everest from England you would need to fly to Kathmandu then take a plane from there to Lukla. From here you would have to trek/walk to Base Camp.
