Hot

Because it has the characterisitics of a hot desert-

  • Water shadow effect is when a range of mountains blocking the evaporation, and when it rises it codenses and forms precipitation. Then it goes over the mountain on to the other side with hot, dry air.
  • No cloud cover affects an environment by it not stopping insolation ( incoming solar radiation), increasing temperature and not holding in the heat at night, decreasing the temperature at night.
  • Erosion and deposition is when rain and/or flood washes away fertile soil in the top layer and deposits it somewhere else, decreasing the poopulation of fauna and flora
  • Not enough precipitation affects an area to become a desert due to it not having enough evaporation or tanspiration.
