Why is it that you pay more for Princeton cigarettes in certain areas than what the recommended retail selling are on the package?

I went to buy a packet of Princeton Cigarettes at the BP Garage in Southernwood, East London, and on the packet where it was marked R17.50 were yellow stickers placed over and was charged R19.50 for the packet. How is this possible that some places are allowed to do this when the price is clearly marked at R17.50 and they are allowed to place the yellow stickers over the price and can charge what they want to. When I enquired why they had done this the lady that served me just shrugged her shoulders and said it was management that that done this and there was nothing that she could do. Is this the law that a cigarette provider can just charge what they want to? I have the packet in my possession as proof. Thanking you Teral Bouchier accounts@finhouse.co.za
