I think that depends primarily on the kind of cigar you want to purchase. You can go to most gas station stores and buy Swisher Sweets or Black 'N Milds for relatively cheap -- under $5. Some cigars can cost hundreds of dollars, depending on their origin, the type of tobacco and how it was processed, and if it is aged for a certain amount of time before it is sold. Most major cities have cigar clubs, a place where you can smoke expensive cigars with other cigar aficionados in a room known as a "humidor." A humidor just keeps the room at a certain humidity that is best to store tobacco and cigars. Also, you might want to check out a magazine called "Cigar Aficionado," which is a great resource for people who want to know more about the art of really fine tobaccos.

It completely depends on the brand, type, condition, and age of the cigar. Just as with any consumer product, there is high quality, low quality, and every shade of gray in-between. Just search the brand name and see how much various retailers are selling them for.

Also, the worth of a cigar is directly related to your enjoyment of it. I have had expensive cigars that just didn't taste that great and mid-range ones that were quite enjoyable. In the end, it is largely subjective to the individual.

It really depends on the year. And most people won't buy it if the box or the cigars are damaged. Also, it has to be a good year, perhaps if it was in between when they were firt made to when they slowly started going out of style? -Chris

Depends on what Cuban cigar you want to buy, but they ain't cheap: go to http://www.cubancigarshabanos.com/4/cigars_prices_cuba.html and you can find the official Habanos SA (the Cuban government's cigar manufacturing corporation) per-box prices in the state stores and "Casa De Habanos" cigar stores.

Really depends on the brand of cigar. Hand-made cigars can range anywhere from $3.00-20.00 a cigar (rough estimate)
