Answer

Yes, there is nicotine in chewing tobacco.

The urban myth that there is fiberglass in the tobacco to speed up nicotine delivery has been widely debunked! The glass fibers were said to make tiny cuts in your gums and mouth lining to let the nicotine get into your blood easier.

The stiffer parts of the tobacco leaf - the shaft and it does the same thing as fiberglass might.

Yes- But it takes effects differently....

A person who uses 8 to 10 dips or chews a day receives the same amount of nicotine as a heavy smoker who smokes 30 to 40 cigarettes a day.

It really depends on the definition of of nutrition. Are there absorbable nutrients in chewing tobacco? To a limited degree, yes. However, with that definition, one could eat dirt and absorb nutrients.

That's what all tobacco does. Chewing tobacco releases the nicotine into your system through your lip, cheek, fingers, toes, etc. I know the finger and toe thing sounds funny, but I've heard of hockey players giving themselves paper cuts and placing a dip in their glove to hide it.
